The write stuff

1 Dec

It has been a while since I last posted anything, which means there are lots of weird and wonderful new creations I am able to share with you.

My notebook collection has steadily been growing, with each new design neatly placed alongside the others adorning my bookshelves.

Some of them are quirky, others are meant to inspire, but all will hopefully one day be filled with big dreams and great ideas.

outfoxed

There exists a certain type of person among us that gets a little crazy about collecting particular objects. I have seen people (and possibly done so myself) do a little dance and utter a squeal of delight when they stumble upon yet another bunny or bird to ad to their collection. And I sheepishly confess that I too am a little obsessed, in particular with polar bears and foxes.

I had already created my little origami fox brooch, but for the true collector, one item just isn’t enough, so I came up with this little fox while I was doodling one morning. Let me introduce you to… Julian the fox.

books of note

I have been collecting notebooks ever since I can remember. Most people use them to write in or jot down their ideas, but I use them to adorn my book shelves and every now and again pull them out and lovingly gaze at them. So you can just imagine that making my own notebooks gave me a real thrill and when I finished my very first notebook I did actually did a little dance.

a new addition

Friends of ours have just recently had a wonderful little addition to their little family and as I seem to have trees on my brain at the moment, I decided to make them a little tree gift.

I thought it might be a rather fun idea to draw them their very own family tree.

A little side note:

I found this particular design for a family tree amidst my excessively large folder of DIY images, but sadly cannot cite the original creator as (after searching the web fruitlessly for over an hour) I came out empty handed.

in the beginning…

There are a few things in life that make me very happy (and sometimes even get me doing a little dance). My husband and Nutella rank right up there with some of my favourites, as well as any pretty paper products.  Ever since I was small I would linger in the stationary section of any shop and dream of all the different design I would one day create. It was therefore only a natural progression that I started creating designs to adorn my walls and spoil my friends with.

And out of passion and an overflow of creativity my little company ‘paper-tales’ was born.
